Alma Mater Reviews

Robert Parker: 90+ Points

A blend of 46% Riesling, 18%

Gewurztraminer and 36% Pinot Gris, the 2010 Alma Mater displays exotic fruit, nectarine and white peach aromas over hints of spiced pears. Light bodied and dry with a very good concentration of tropical flavors, it has lively acidity and a long finish.

 Bob Campbell, MW 90 Points

“A field blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer from the Riverside vineyard in the Hakataramea Valley. Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer were co-fermented and some was aged in old barrels. The Riesling was fermented separately. Sweet, grapey, herby nose. Nice lively, pure fruit with some melon and grape notes. Lovely freshness and acidity to this multidimensional wine. 89/100” – Wine Anorak
